Things to Do

Beach Access

The closest beach access is at Roads End State Park, 5-minute walk from our house. The access is a sloped paved walkway with slight rocky path at the end. From there, you can access 7 miles of sandy beaches from Roads End to Siletz Bay.

Hiking

If you love to hike, there are several hiking trials in Lincoln City that might sooth your taste. The Knoll and God's Thumb trail heads are the closest to our house. These are what I consider beginner loops that are pet and kid friendly. Along these trials, you will experience spectacular views of pacific coastline from Cascade Head to Devils Lake.

Crabbing & Clamming

The best spot to catch your delicious dinner year round is Siletz Bay. You want to go there a few hours after low tide when crabs are active and mud flats re-surface. Clams can be found 14 inches below mud and can be spotted by small holes. Make sure that you have right gears and Shellfish license.

Tide Pool

The best spot in Lincoln City for tide pool is Roads End Point. At low tide, rocks on sandy beach turn into tide pool for you to explore. Discover various sea creatures and their home in small pockets of sea water.

Kite Festival

Lincoln City hosts Kite Festival 2 times a year during Summer and Fall at D River State Park. This 2-day event is very family friendly. There are kite making workshop, kite flying, parade, and more. It is a must-do event when you are in Lincoln City.

Golfing

Enjoy your relaxing day outside and experience 3 scenic golf courses in Lincoln City area; Chinook Winds Golf Resort, Salishan Golf Links, and Agate Beach Golf Course. Check the tee times and book in advance!

Shopping

If you are in a mood to splurge yourself with brand name clothing and accessories, you are at the right place. Right at the city center, Lincoln City Outlets has over 50 designer shops at affordable prices. You won't be disappointed.

Casino

Chinook Winds Casino Resort is only 4-minute drive from our house. There, you will discover non-smoking casino fully equipped with a variety of table games, slot machines, Bingo, Keno, sports betting, all-day buffet restaurants, concert events, and more.

Glass float hunting

Glass float hunting is one of favorite activities you can do year long in Lincoln City. Every year, hundreds of colorful hand-blown glass floats made by the local artisans are loosely hidden above high tide line and below beach embarkment along the 7-mile coastline. If you find a float, it's yours! You can even get it registered for a Certificate of Authenticity.

Surfing

The Nelscott Reef is one of Lincoln City's best kept secrets that is known only among adventurous surfers. Waves can be as high as 50 feet also known as king tides. Do your due diligence and study tide charts before you go out. Be sure to wear your wetsuit and have right gears to keep you safe.
